Rest is Not a Waste of Time

Our productivity is often valued more than wellbeing. We have been conditioned to think that if we aren’t doing something productive, then we aren’t doing the right thing. Success is often painted in tandem with productivity, and as a result we can struggle to value our growth during periods of rest. Sometimes success comes in instalments instead of all at once. Sometimes pausing, looking out the window or petting your cat, is the most valuable use of time. Rest can be integral to success, and critical for wellness. Rest is never a waste of time.
