The Problem with Changing Ourselves to Succeed

Some people spend their entire lives hiding their true selves. When we build a life based on who we hope to be, or to become a person others hope we are, we do so at the expense of our wellbeing and health. Constant adaptation to social pressures and ideals keep us chronically ungrounded. We stay vulnerable to the storms of life, highly sensitive to criticism and unwanted change. Whilst it can take courage and strength to initiate the journey of finding your truth, once you accept who you are you will find yourself more open, empathetic, and resilient to the ups and downs of life.
