Find the Courage to Ask Yourself“How Could it be Different?”

Sometimes we need to be brave enough to recognize that we’ve outgrown the lives we’ve built for ourselves. Changing our current “normal” often feels unnatural. It is, in fact, quite normal to resist daydreaming and expansive thinking for this reason. Asking ourselves “how could it be different?” often brings about complicated or overwhelming answers. So often the answers reflect our previous life choices and things that are no longer working for us. It is understandable that we would be uncomfortable or frightened to begin the dialogue.

But what happens when we do?

Once we move through the vulnerability that such a question stirs within us, change sets in motion. Self-knowledge is power, and a necessary ingredient for transformative change. Once we see what is possible for us, we rarely unsee. It occupies spaces in our minds, adapting how we see ourselves and the world around us. We begin to build a new normal, and can take steps to reach new places that used to seem impossible for us.

Remember, it takes courage to ask these questions, and you do not need to explore them on your own. Working with a coach offers directional guidance when asking difficult questions, helping you to bring about the transformative change you desire.
